Gföllner to Showcase Passenger and Workshop Vehicle (PWFZ) at InnoTrans 2026

From September 22 through September 25, 2026, Gföllner, in collaboration with TATRAVAGONKA Poprad, will present a passenger and workshop vehicle (PWFZ) at InnoTrans in Berlin, the leading international trade fair for transportation technology.
The vehicle on display is part of a major project for the Swiss Federal Railways SBB CFF FFS and was developed specifically for maintenance and repair work on the Swiss rail network. In the future, it will be used to transport personnel, tools, and work materials, combining the necessary work, living, and technical areas into a single vehicle.
Engineered and produced by Gföllner
The PWFZ consists of a cabin structure and a support bogie. The cab structure is developed and manufactured by Gföllner in Austria, while project partner TATRAVAGONKA Poprad from Slovakia supplies the bogie. At the Port of Linz, both components are assembled into a complete rail vehicle.
The first two vehicles have already been symbolically handed over to SBB CFF FFS and are currently undergoing testing and commissioning in Switzerland. In total, the project comprises 43 passenger and workshop cars, with delivery scheduled through 2029.
