Cab Construction for Rail Vehicles

We manufacture ready-to-connect technical cabin units for rail vehicle construction—drawing on decades of experience in highly certified steel construction and modular expertise from container technology.

Lightweight Construction, Durability, and Ease of Integration

Our cabin modules are constructed from welded lightweight structures in CL1 quality in accordance with DIN EN 15085-2. Precision steel construction, consistent lightweight design, and high-quality surface and fire protection systems form the basis for robust cabin units in rail vehicle manufacturing. This results in custom-designed structures for both new vehicles and modernization projects.

Skeletal structure

Our cabin modules are based on welded lightweight structures in CL1 quality in accordance with DIN EN 15085-2. The design is tailored to the dynamic loads of the respective rail vehicle and combines low weight with high structural stability. Openings, interfaces, and mounting points are coordinated with the vehicle and future integration right from the start.

Advantage: High structural load-bearing capacity combined with a consistently weight-optimized design.

Materials & Paint Finish

From the selection of suitable materials to the final surface system, we tailor the materials and processing to the specific application of the track. Corrosion protection, paint systems, and coatings are applied in accordance with project-specific requirements.

Depending on the application, we implement robust surface solutions with enhanced protection against weathering, mechanical stress, and contamination. These also include anti-graffiti coatings and anti-vandalism designs for exterior surfaces subject to particularly high stress. In addition, we take into account requirements for fire protection, EMC, as well as bonded components and assemblies. With certified welding processes in accordance with DIN EN 15085-2 and bonding technology in accordance with DIN EN 17460, we cover essential manufacturing steps for high-quality cabin structures.

Advantage: Durable, resilient surfaces—tailored to the high demands of daily rail operations.
