Successful handover of two functional modules for the Beznau UW (CH)

In mid-August, we were able to deliver two more functional modules - 16kV switchgear containers for the UW BEZNAU Phase 2 project for AXPO and hand them over directly on site. The punctual handover marks another important milestone in the ongoing modernization of the strategically important site next to the Beznau nuclear power plant.
The handover took place on schedule in mid-August. Both modules were completely prefabricated in the factory, electrically and mechanically tested and then handed over to the customer ready for use.
A total of 10 Gföllner modules already in use
With the delivery of these two units, there are now a total of 10 Gföllner containers on the substation site. The modules perform central tasks at the medium-voltage level and make a significant contribution to the stabilization and modernization of the Swiss power grid.
Beznau - a central energy hub
A modern and highly available grid infrastructure is being created right next to the Beznau nuclear power plant. Gföllner's functional modules are helping AXPO to further increase security of supply and strengthen energy distribution in the long term.
