As part of a new initiative to help employees better balance family and work, Gföllner organized vacation childcare for employees' children for the first time this year.
A total of 38 children aged four to twelve participated in four childcare sessions during the summer vacation—two in July and two in August. In collaboration with Kinderfreunde Wels / Hausruck, a varied vacation program was created, featuring field trips to the IKUNA Naturresort, the Team Out Park, and Dinoland. The program was rounded out by a technology workshop, a visit to a farm, a sports event, and active and creative afternoons.
Through its summer care program, Gföllner provides tangible relief for families during school breaks while also helping them better balance family and work life.
“We are aware that summer vacation presents many parents with organizational challenges. With our summer childcare program, we aim to provide targeted relief while also demonstrating that we take our employees’ family situations into account. We are therefore particularly pleased with the high demand we’ve seen already in the first year,” says Hannah Königmayr, Head of HR at Gföllner.
38 children, four weeks of summer camp, and many shared experiences: The successful launch shows that family-friendly programs create tangible added value. Given the positive response, the summer camp program will continue and be expanded in the coming years.
