Successful handover: two AOC trains for Deutsche Bahn

On 17 September 2025, the ceremonial handover of two new user-oriented containers (AOC) to DB InfraGO took place in Fulda.
The containers were developed on the basis of the MTF-17 and individually adapted to the requirements of the S-Bahn - in particular to the smaller clearance gauge.

The special features of the AOC include:

• Utilizing the offset of the MTF-17 to efficiently accommodate the required material
• E-installation in side walls, ceiling and floor due to limited room height
• Emission-free energy supply in tunnel operation thanks to integrated 10 kWh battery as a supplement to the diesel generator
• Complete implementation in accordance with EN 45545 with a high level of documentation and testing

DB about the collaboration "During the planning phase, there was never a 'can't do' statement - solutions were always found. The project was delivered on time and remained within the planned costs."
