HINTSTEINER Maintenance Truck – Mobile Workshop for Flexible Service Calls

The project is based on a Mercedes-Benz Actros, which Gföllner equipped with a swap body system, a tail lift, and full-length side protection panels. In addition, we manufactured a matching WAB swap body, which is used as a mobile workshop.

Technical Implementation

The interchangeable mounting system allows the toolbox to be easily mounted, removed, and, if necessary, swapped out for other interchangeable attachments. The integrated tail lift facilitates the safe loading and unloading of tools, parts, and technical components. This provides a significant advantage in daily service operations, especially when handling heavy or bulky items.

The full-surface side protection paneling has been adapted to the vehicle design and ensures a cohesive, functional overall appearance. The WAB swap body also serves as the basis for a protected and weather-proof workspace directly at the job site.

Service where it’s needed

The key benefit of the Maintenance Truck lies in its mobility: service, maintenance, and repair work can be performed directly at the customer’s site. This means that large or sensitive systems do not necessarily have to be transported to the production site.

For HINTSTEINER, this means shorter distances, faster response times, and greater flexibility during international service calls. Tools, equipment, and necessary components can be carried directly in the vehicle and used on-site.

The mobile workshop is thus not just a transport solution, but a fully-fledged workspace on wheels.

Technology with a Unique Look

After the vehicle body was completed at Gföllner, the maintenance truck was custom-lettered by HINTSTEINER and given a striking airbrush design. The result was a functional vehicle solution transformed into a truly distinctive vehicle.
