SQE Supplier Development Officer (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities: 

  • Qualification and development of suppliers for purchased parts and subcontracted welded assemblies
  • Carrying out supplier audits and evaluating supplier performance
  • Initial sample inspections, as well as inspections and acceptance tests carried out directly at the supplier’s premises
  • Identifying quality deviations, carrying out root cause analyses and devising solutions
  • Handling complaints relating to purchased parts
  • Contributing to process optimisation and quality assurance at the supplier’s premises
  • Creating templates for component-specific quality documentation (dimension reports, test plans)
  • Supporting the establishment of the ‘Supplier Quality Engineering’ department and an expanded supplier portfolio
  • Collaborating with various departments (Production, Warehouse, Purchasing and Quality Assurance)

 

Your profile: 

  • Completed technical training (e.g. HTL, FH, apprenticeship in the metalworking sector)
  • Several years’ professional experience in supplier management, quality assurance or steel construction
  • Good knowledge of reading technical drawings, metrology and standard testing procedures
  • Substantial experience with quality methods (e.g. FMEA)
  • Completed auditor training 
  • Knowledge of or training in non-destructive testing and welding technology (IWE) would be an advantage
  • A structured, precise approach to work, combined with a confident and persuasive manner
  • Strong communication skills when dealing with internal and external partners
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
  • Very good written and spoken German and good written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel approx. 30% of the time

For this full-time position, a gross salary starting from 3,500 euros is offered. We are happy to offer a higher salary depending on your professional experience and qualifications.
