Apprenticeship in metal technology (m/f/d)
As a metal technician for steel or vehicle construction, everything revolves around metals, machines and tools. Your tasks include processing metals and using them to design and manufacture components and products.
Your course content at a glance:
- Processing metals - sawing, drilling, turning, milling and welding
- Manufacturing and assembling components for machines and systems
- Working with modern machines and systems
- Reading technical drawings and putting them into practice
- Working safely in accordance with quality and safety regulations

Duration of apprenticeship: 3.5 years
The steel construction technology module is also possible as a double apprenticeship with the welding technology module (apprenticeship period: 4 years).
The apprentice salary (gross per month) according to the collective agreement for the metalworking industry is:
1st year of apprenticeship: EUR 1,071.00
2nd year of apprenticeship: EUR 1,295.40
3rd year of apprenticeship: EUR 1.657.50
4th year of apprenticeship: EUR 2,152.20
