As a metal worker, you are responsible for processing metal - by hand or with machines - and assembling entire components from individual parts. You will work with various techniques such as filing, drilling, turning, etc.

An overview of your training content:

  • Machining metal parts - e.g. sawing, drilling, grinding and bending
  • Manufacturing and assembling simple components
  • Working with machines and hand tools in the workshop
  • Reading simple technical drawings and plans
  • Working safely in compliance with quality and safety regulations

You will gain an insight into practical work from the outset and learn to take on responsibility step by step.

The apprentice salary (gross per month) according to the collective agreement for the metalworking industry is as follows Collective agreement for the metalworking industry:

1st year of apprenticeship: EUR 1,071.00
2nd year of apprenticeship: EUR 1,295.40
3rd year of apprenticeship: EUR 1,657.50
